A member of the American Tai-Jutsu Federation, Nine Feathers is a Ten-Chi-Wa Ninpo Tai-Jutsu training group and Dojo. Our students train by following a system created by Sensei Chadwick Minge, which blends the ancient, traditional teachings of the Japanese "masters" with modern self-defense.
Anyone is welcome to come train with us. Your first 3 lessons are FREE.
All classes are taught by Sensei Alan Friedman, Sensei Minge's highest ranking student.
We are located in Thousand Oaks, CA (northwest of Los Angeles) and train twice per week. While one class is held in a traditional dojo, the other is held outside to allow the student to practice self-defense under "real world" conditions.

This site is for anyone interested in Ninpo TaiJutsu an ancient martial art practiced by the NINJA, yet fully applicable in modern times. Ninpo TaiJutsu incorporates the arts of striking, throwing, bone-breaking, pressure points and self defense -- all based on natural body movements to achieve the greatest impact.
By training with us, you will gain greater self confidence, coordination, concentration, discipline, inner and spiritual power, while at the same time learn a martial art which is highly effective "in the streets." Check out this video to see more.
The fully comprehensive art of Ten-Chi-Wa Tai-Jutsu, founded and developed by Sensei Chadwick Minge, is currently taught in only 4 locations:

The art of Ninpo Tai Jutsu, a centuries old Japanese martial art system, is a multi-faceted system, which is still highly effective in today's world. By studying this comprehensive art, which is taught in a traditional manner, a student learns the striking arts of Daken Tai Jutsu, the throwing arts of Ju-Jutsu, the breaking art of Koppo-Jutsu, the pressure point art of Koshi-Jutsu, and the self-defense art of Goshin Jutsu.

These "Tengu" are the predecessors of the Ninja, who possess supernatural skills in swordsmanship and weapon making. In addition, they sometimes serve as teachers in the art of war and strategy to those who they find worthy.
